BASL: A Responsible Corporate Citizen

Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL) has a strong commitment to the society in which it operates and constantly seeks opportunities to demonstrate this fact in as many ways as possible.

As the operator of Nigeria's number one airport and the busiest domestic terminal, MMA2, Lagos, we are positioned to contribute effectively to the socio-economic growth of the nation.

Our CSR initiatives focus on offering charitable support to the local community and stakeholders in the aviation industry. These include donations, staff volunteering, sharing of expertise and the use of equipment and premises and free health screening for all terminal users. We invest significantly in building up local capacity through constant training of our staff and the staff of regulatory agencies and airlines. Our employees are unarguably the most skilled and knowledgeable in the Nigerian aviation industry and would form the bulk of next generation aviation professionals in the country.

Ultimately, our goal is to promote sustainable and inclusive development as a Responsible Corporate Citizen and to maximise the economic and social benefits of MMA2.

POLICY STATEMENT

The CSR Policy of BASL aims to achieve, consolidate and strengthen socially and environmentally responsible business practices that balance financial profit with social well-being.

The rally was held in partnership with a non-governmental organisation, Consultants Collaborative Partnership (CCP) on March 21, which is the day set aside by the United Nations to celebrate people with Down Syndrome.

The charity walk took off from the office of CCP, at Oniru, Victoria Island and traversed several parts of Lagos Island to generate awareness of the plight of those suffering the condition.
